E-Food: Selling food products online

Over the past years, e-commerce was already a growing sales channel for the food industry, but acceptance among consumers to buy food online was still relatively low in many regions. With the Corona pandemic, this has changed dramatically.

Since March, e-food is booming with growth rates of up to 300 in certain product categories.

It is expected that e-food sales will slow down again after Corona protection measures will be lifted. However, experts forecast that this sales channel is now accepted among a broad consumers base and will remain important for food companies in the future.
