Flanked by technical presentations covering visual inspection and container closure integrity testing (CCIT), selected customers discussed current developments and industry trends with Syntegon experts. Since November 2022, the new R&D Inspection Lab at the headquarters in Waiblingen complements the portfolio. Equipped with test stands and testing equipment, Syntegon's inspection experts support pharmaceutical manufacturers in the development and fine-tuning of their inspection processes in the test lab. During the Inspection Days 2022, which took place mainly in the new facility, participants were able to experience this expertise first-hand. #### **Exciting presentations and discussions at eye level** The first day offered a wide selection of presentations on visual inspection and CCIT. Examples included customer-specific developments and fine-tuning of the corresponding inspection method based on specific applications and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in visual inspection. In alternating discussion groups, the participants then exchanged views with Syntegon’s inspection specialists on current developments, such as regulatory requirements and the impact of the current Annex 1 on inspection processes. On the second day, so-called “hands-on sessions” delved deeper into the individual topics of the first day in a practical and customer-specific manner. Participants could experience the processes they were particularly interested in directly on the inspection machines. “This year's Inspection Days were a great success,” Wolfram Schindler, Global Product Manager Inspection Technology at Syntegon, summarizes. “We were able to exchange ideas with our customers at eye level and show them the full range of services offered by our new R&D Inspection Lab. The joint dinner with mulled wine and a winter barbecue also provided a great opportunity to intensify discussions and to get to know each other even better.
